In the Cosmic Tribe deck, this card contains one straight, upright sword, surrounded by 6 curved and twisted swords that bar the way. I often identify with the unbent sword and feel that it is the "main character" in this card. That sword could represent the honest seeker who is trying to find the truth amidst lies, or the right way through a confusing situation. The sword has an eye and seems to glow with its own light, showing that the seeker is alert and full of power, despite the darkness of her surroundings.
The curved swords could represent active lies, misdirection, or just plain confusion. They are the obstacles that stand in the way, creating complication and miscommunication. Things will not go easy when this card appears, but there is hope present as well. I sense that the upright sword is determined, and will not easily give up her quest for the truth.
